Our Client, a dynamic Energy resources company which has experienced significant growth has a truly exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant.

Based in the CBD, and reporting to the Financial Controller, the purpose of this challenging role is to perform duties as follows:
• Maintenance of the General Ledger including timely and accurate entering of journals and preparation of monthly reconciliations to trial balance
• Preparation of financial statements and management accounts for review
• Preparation of cash flow statements and assisting with cash flow analysis
• Liaising with external financial institutions, including monthly bank reconciliations
• Responsible for all statutory compliance reporting such as BAS, Payroll Tax and FBT related returns
• Maintain asset registers, depreciation and manage capital expenditure requests
• Assist with the preparation of half year and year end financial accounts, including Groups Annual Tax
• Overseeing and mentoring the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
To be considered for this fantastic role you will need to be degree qualified or possess a minimum of 2-5 years experience in a similar position. A high level of attention to detail coupled with a conscientious work ethic will stand you in great stead for this challenging role. In addition, it is imperative that you have well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
