Our client, a global organisation that is well known for its highly innovative engineering solutions, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager.

As part of the Commercial group, the Contracts Manager will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will have a responsibility to provide a pro-active and timely commercial service to both internal and external customers. You will expected to be an active member of the Commercial Team, and where necessary specific project management teams to ensure the organisation maximises its business profit. The Contracts Manager shall have a hands-on approach to the following:

Contract Management - Undertake contractual management of projects including identification, advice and management of commercial risks.

Financial Management - In conjunction with the Financial Controller, provide effective financial administration, monitoring of project costs and budgets to provide managers with timely and relevant management information. Undertake foreign exchange risk assessment and monitoring.

Negotiation - Manage and personally undertake negotiations with subcontractors, customers and suppliers relating to contractual issues, teaming arrangements, licensing arrangements and confidentiality agreements to ensure commercial and legal integrity.

Tender and Proposals - As part of the tender and proposals team, take a proactive role in commercial, legal and contractual matters including the preparation of Request for Tender and Contract documentation, statements of compliance and the like.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will hold Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Business or Commerce) and have a comprehensive understanding of contract law.

You will have at least five years experience in a commercial environment including contract preparation, negotiation, administration and management of contractual relationships.

Candidates with an understanding of contractual requirements of large multi-discipline projects in an engineering environment will be held in high regard.
