Tax Accountant - Oil and Gas!

Our Client, a diversified oil and gas service provider who are listed on the ASX, have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Tax Accountant.

Due to numerous acquisitions this organisation has experienced considerable growth; this growth is envisaged to continue.

Based in the city and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage the tax affairs for all the Australian and foreign subsidiaries. Your responsibilities will be as follows:

Completion of group consolidated income tax returns
Preparation of tax effect calculations including tax notes to Annual Reports
Review of BAS & Payroll Tax and preparation of FBT returns
Participating in Tax planning and contributing to Tax strategies
Support business decision making by proactively partnering with managers to deliver upfront tax effective and business efficient solutions
Assist in controlling and mitigating all transaction and compliance taxation risk to maximise after tax cash flow
Answering Tax queries across the business

To be considered for this opportunity you will be either a CA or CPA qualified Accountant with a minimum 5 years experience in direct and indirect tax. Your ability to build strong business relationships is prerequisite, in addition, you will need to enjoy being hands on with compliance work but also have the ability to translate strategy into operational reality.
