Our client, an emerging precious metals producer based south of the City, have golden opportunity for an experienced accountant to manage the finance and accounting function.

As a key member of the management team this role will require regular interaction with the mining team and the company board. Your role will span across financial management, strategic growth of the company and liaising with our Chinese partners on financial and regulatory matters.

Reporting directly to the CFO you will be joining a very focused and dedicated team. Your responsibilities will be as follows:

Preparation of monthly management accounts
Statutory financial reporting and audit liaison
Contribute to meeting taxation requirements
Management of accounts payable
Budgeting and forecasting
Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives on internal controls and systems

Moving forward, the imminent growth of this company will lead to your involvement in financial modelling, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations. Broader commercial exposure will also include involvement in the negotiation of contracts, shareholder agreements and consultation with external stakeholders.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will be CA/CPA qualified and ideally have worked in an industry such as mining & resources, engineering or construction. In addition you will have a track record in financial and/or management accounting, an understanding of compliance reporting, but more importantly the ability to learn and develop your skills in this hands-on position.
