Our Client, an ASX listed construction services company with a diverse range of products and services, has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Group Accountant based in their head office in the Eastern suburbs.

Highly regarded in the industry, this employer of choice rewards its people for their hard work and effort. This group has many new projects on the go and has experienced significant growth as a result of a demand for its services.

As a key member of the Finance team and reporting to the Financial Controller, the position is commercially oriented with the following core responsibilities:

• Month-end management & financial reporting
• Year end & half year consolidation & statutory reporting
• Tax management including tax effect accounting
• Initiate and improve group accounting policies & procedures
• Operational reviews of subsidiary companies

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 6 -10 years experience acquired in a senior finance capacity. Whilst sound knowledge of accounting standards and a reasonable understanding of IFRS is integral to the role, highly developed communication, lateral thinking and strong leadership skills coupled with a team oriented ethos to problem solving will hold you in good stead.
