Project Accountant - Growing Mining Company

Our Client, a growing mining and metals company which is engaged in mineral exploration, development and mining in Africa, has a truly exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join their established team.

Reporting to the Group Manager Projects, the ideal candidate will be experienced in:

• management reporting on projects
• capex
• variance and cost analysis
• cost control
• utilisation/ efficiency trend analysis
• preparation of budgets & forecasts
• extensive financial modelling
• manage FX requirements for all project costs

To be considered you will be CA, CPA or CIMA qualified with experience within a medium to large organisation servicing to the mining industry. In addition you will have a resources and/or contracting sector background coupled with experience utilising an ERP system such as Pronto or similar.

Good communication and team skills are essential, as is an attention to detail. You will have a proactive approach to work and demonstrate a willingness to have a “hands-on” approach.
Strong analytical skills coupled with sound task orientation will be required if you are to succeed in this challenging role.
