Our Client, a growing mining and metals company which is engaged in mineral exploration, development and mining in Africa, has a truly exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant either FIFO or residentially based.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Providing a dedicated resource to assist in tracking ongoing project costs, responsible for the cost control and management reporting
Responsible for the delivery of financial management information on projects and ensuring proper corporate and financial governance regarding the group’s capital expenditure
Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L reports
Budget/Forecasting & Analysis
Enhance & maintain the integrity of accounting systems and controls
Providing support and supervision to the existing accounting staff and development of management reporting tools

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will ideally have:

High level working knowledge of the Pronto system
Strong technical accounting skills (including IFRS)
Strong problem-solving skills

Good communication and team skills are essential, as is an attention to detail. You will have a proactive approach to work and demonstrate a willingness to have a “hands-on” approach.
Strong analytical skills coupled with sound task orientation will be required if you are to succeed in this challenging role.
