Our Client, an ASX listed engineering consulting business with offices world-wide, has an exciting opening for an accounts payable officer to play a key role within their busy finance function.

Based in the city, this organisation’s aim is to be the best in its field. Servicing both the mining and oil and gas industries, many of this organisation’s clients are household names and include major listed national and international companies.

Working as part of a team and reporting directly to the Financial Controller the mission of this position is to ensure the timely and accurate processing of the accounts payable function including stamping, coding, data entry, payment and filing of supplier invoices.

Reviewing labour hire invoices against database
Prepare, authorise and send weekly, mid-month and end of month supplier payment runs
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Provide month end accruals when required
Create and maintaining supplier database
Liaise with suppliers regarding enquiries
Perform invoice matching of supplier invoices to the corresponding purchase orders
Maintain client on-boarding records
Maintain contract / agreement records
Archiving of accounts group records
Reconciliation of employee expense claims
Maintain and reconcile the company’s various petty cash.
Arranging and collecting bank cheques and foreign currency
Bank correspondence

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have previous exposure in an accounts payable environment and have intermediate skills with excel and word. A high level of attention to detail coupled with a conscientious work ethic will stand you in great stead for this challenging role.

Previous exposure to a major ERP system such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards or Pronto will be held in high regard.
