Accounts Payable Officer - Mining - Pronto

With the recent acquisition of a significant asset, our client, a listed mining company with world class assets and a portfolio of 4 operating mines located across three continents, has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to strategically assist the company’s move towards production and be an integral part in contributing to a world-class mining operation.

This is an exciting and new opportunity to join an outstanding global organisation. Leader in its sector, this organisation has recently expanded its Australian operations.

Based in West Perth, this role reports to the Finance Manager. The primary objective of this challenging post is to complete all required tasks to maintain the accounts payable ledger and all related accounts payable functions. Your primary duties will be as follows:

Receive invoices and other accounts payable documentation, check and confirm liability for payment.
Match invoices to purchase orders, codes and process data
Obtain authorisation for payment in accordance with standard procedures and allocate expenditure to correct budget
Process weekly payment runs (cheques and EFT payments)
Attend to all accounts payable queries
Process banking of incoming cheques
Close off accounts payable and upload to general ledger
Produce month end reports for accounts payable
Reconciliation of supplier statement and accounts payable general ledger

To be considered for this brilliant opportunity it is envisaged that you have 2-5 years experience. Candidates with exposure to Pronto will be held in high regard, however candidates with knowledge of Oracle, JDE, SAP or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
