Our Client, an ASX listed manufacturing organisation with over a $70m turnover, with offices state-wide and employing over 1,000 people, has a truly exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Assistant Financial Controller based in their new plush offices North of Perth.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, the primary purpose of the role is to control the finance and accounting methods, practices and procedures of the organisation, prepare appropriate reports, financial assessments, accounting records and other information and allowing senior management to make informed business decisions to meet corporate goals.

You will also be accountable for:

• Direct and review the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information for use in management decision making.
• Review and analyse operating results in relation to cost, budgets and operating policies.
• Prepare schedules for financial reporting in accordance with management and statutory requirements (ASX, ASIC and Bankers)( half yearly, Annual report)
• Prepare statutory accounts for the Group (half year and full year) including Appendix 4D and 4E.
• Direct and review the analysis and interpretation of inventory control (including stock-take), costing and accuracy and efficient reporting
• Liaise and coordinate with department heads to ensure the efficient control of operational issues and transparencies in reporting
• Oversee and to ensure compliance with all tax laws and rulings in related areas like FBT, GST and tax laws.
• Ensure all accounting and office staff are trained and competent to achieve position objectives and demonstrate initiative in the conduct of assignments.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you will be either CA/CPA/ CIMA qualified with 5-7 years experience within a medium to large manufacturing or resource environment.

Candidates with experience in large ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto, Oracle or similar along with data analysis tools such as Hyperion, Cognos or similar are strongly encouraged to apply and will be held in high regard.
