Our Client, a highly successful organisation that provides local retail sales of seafood and international shipping services, has a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts receivable officer for their busy office based in Fremantle.

Established for over 80 years, this organisation prides itself on its strong reputation for customer service and providing a one-stop shop for grocery and technical items.

Under the general direction and guidance of the Credit Control Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring and collecting amounts due for the supply of goods and services.

Your list of duties will be as follows:

Assist in investigation and review credit worthiness of new and current customers.
Recommend approval of credit facilities and payment terms.
Interpret Company policy on the provision of credit and advise customers
Monitor and reconcile Accounts.
Reconcile accounts on unallocated transaction report.
Liaise with Sales personnel regarding Credit status of customers.
Liaise with accounting personnel for the reconciliation of unallocated accounts.
Instigate stop credits on accounts that exceed the nominated ‘grace’ period.
Follow up with debtors for payment under purchase agreement credit conditions.
Recommend payment terms with customers having difficulties paying their accounts.
Prepare statements for customers on credit trading facilities.
Reconcile aged trial balances.
Review and instigate recovery action on dishonoured cheques and delinquent accounts.
Ensure activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
Review Business Journals.

To be considered for this great opportunity it is envisaged that you have 2 years accounts receivable experience.
