Our client, a minerals exploration company established to explore for base metals and gold deposits in Australia, has an exciting opportunity for a part-time bookkeeper to play a key role within their friendly team.

Based in West Perth, this role reports directly to the Financial Controller. The mission of this position is to produce accounts to trial balance and ensure reconciliations are prepared in accordance with deadlines. In addition you will also need to ensure monthly expenses and timesheets are appropriately authorised and recorded on a timely basis, and ensure suppliers and employees are paid by due dates.

Your list of duties will be as follows:

Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
BAS Returns
Accounts Payable
Payroll and associated duties
Bank Reconciliation
Cash flow reporting
Completing expense claims
Reception duties
Purchasing/organising office supplies
Filing, typing and reception duties.

To be considered for this varied role it is envisaged that you have a minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience ideally within a small to medium sized enterprise environment. In addition you will need to have a good understanding of accounting procedures, high accuracy and attention to detail and be able to organise and prioritise your work.
