Our client, a world leader in discovering, mining and processing the earth’s mineral resources, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Accountant.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide effective business analysis and general administrative services to key stakeholders in the organisation.

Based in Perth and reporting to the Manager Finance, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Providing support and advice to site management on business performance by monitoring and evaluating performance against Group objectives
Providing commercial support for capital expenditure justifications via NPV/IRR analysis, whilst differentiating between Capital and Operating Expenditure                                                                                                                                                                     Preparation of monthly management reports
Budgeting and forecasting
Review and implementation of site accounting and business control systems
Identifying business improvement opportunities
Implementation of Company Policies, Procedures and Resources requirements
Assisting on various key projects

The ideal applicant will be CA/CPA with an accounting or commerce degree and previous experience in a senior accounting role with significant exposure to management accounting and business analysis.

The ability to balance technical work with a commercial focus and to identify process changes is a prerequisite if you are to succeed in this challenging position. As a consequence, we are looking for a professional and enthusiastic candidate with a mature and confident manner as well as good communication and IT skills.
