Our client, a world leader in finding, mining and processing the earth’s mineral resources, has an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to play an integral part of their busy finance function based in the City.

Highly regarded in the industry, this employer of choice rewards its people for their hard work and effort. This group has many new projects on the go and has experienced significant growth as a result of a demand for its services.

Reporting to the Operations Manager but working closely with the Project Managers, your key responsibilities will include:

Providing a dedicated resource to assist in tracking ongoing project costs.
Developing and maintaining the financial costing systems and processes
Providing variance analysis on and across all projects.
Working with Project Managers to understand variances in cost tracking models
Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
Liaising with Project Managers regarding the financial status of projects

Ideally CPA/CA qualified you will be a proven professional with impeccable communication skills and the ability to quickly adapt to change. Extensive management/project accounting experience preferably from a similar industry or environment is prerequisite for this challenging post.

In addition you will possess exceptional organisation skills coupled with high levels of initiative. Being able to work autonomously and collaboratively with other members of the organisation is key.
