Our client, one of Australia’s fastest growing publicly listed mining companies, has a truly exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accountant based in Welshpool.

Reporting directly to Financial Controller, you will be expected to carry out the following duties in a timely and efficient manner:

Provide assistance to the Financial Controller in completing the annual consolidated financial statements.
Preparation of the year end audit file and liaison with external auditors.
Preparation of special purpose financial accounts
Preparation of the month end consolidation and elimination worksheets.
Review of the Finance and Executive section P&L
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare standing journals for the month end accounting process.
Completing ABS returns.
Prepare the annual consolidated Income Tax return for review by the Financial Controller.
Prepare the annual FBT return for review by the Financial Controller.
Complete and lodge the BAS returns.
Maintaining spreadsheets for the Treasury portfolio and shareholder loan distributions.
Providing support to the Financial Controller in treasury reporting.
Review and maintain internal control procedures over the payables function.
Assist the Financial Controller in review and maintaining internal control procedures over revenue billing.

This is a truly divers role which will require a professional and enthusiastic individual who will strive to grow with the organisation. Ideally you will hold a tertiary qualification and be studying toward you CA or CPA qualification; however candidates who have already obtained CPA or CA status are also strongly encouraged to apply.

To be successful in your application you will need to have 3 years commercial experience. Candidates who have previously worked within and ASX listed organisation and have gained experience with intercompany accounting are strongly encouraged to apply.
